I LOVE Moleskine Paper Planners, but I’m having trouble transitioning into this App Bundle. (Timepage, Actions & Flow)
Aside from the following:
more color options-shades/variations, being able to prioritize Lists & creating Sublists using the same viewing format as Lists, Apple/Mac compatibility, Habit & Productivity Trackers
It would save me 12$ and essentially my life if:
(Paying another 12$ would be a pleasure if:)
I would personally love to replace Flow with Journey in this Bundle. But TimePage & Actions should be features within Journey and not separate apps (as aesthetically pleasing as it is to color coordinate all three app icons).
I think the need for multiple Calendars and Lists is a little redundant and confusing when deciding what goes where.
Importing Calendars and Events from different sources is a must but the point of a scheduling system is to view all/one of your events in relation to one another in your preferred time viewing format.
So a single user essentially only needs one Calendar but the various attributing sources should be a prioritized catalogue of Lists. (Career/Education/Health & Fitness, etc.)
Naturally, a system of Sublists is created with the first Sublist being an overview on productivity! The Heatmap is a very cool perspective but the swipe and hold feature didn’t allow it any justice on my end.
The Heatmap if combined with Journey could provide users with the introspection on personal patterns of behavior in a way that normalizes and promotes healthy self-awareness.
Within each List, it’s be great to have Sublists beginning with Timepage/Timeline/Heatmap (including all performance/completion-based quantitative data-habit/goal tracking, etc).
Additional Sublists should include the options for note-taking with Flow/Journey following up with their respective Actions/Tasks. Remembering to give users the ability to re-organize and view these Sublists with the same format and ease of Lists.
They are individually stellar apps but their unification would be unparalleled. It would be the perfect embodiment of the digital planner, checklist and notebook I was expecting to purchase. Had I noticed Journey first, I probably wouldn’t have purchased the Bundle. But the Bundle is still more aesthetically pleasing, with a comforting simplicity in design, and the gratification of swiping a task complete is literally undefeated.
I liked being able to switch between Event/Task at the creation of an Event/Task, but would like the option to switch post-creation. (“I scheduled girls night at my house, but they want to meet at a new restaurant instead.”)
In creating my Daily/Work/Finance/etc-related Lists, each individual Task made an anxiety-inducing itemized appearance on my Timeline. If I were able to schedule my Daily/Work- related Lists to appear on my Timeline instead of the individual Event/Task, it would reduce the cluttered appearance on my end. It would be awesome if I could then go to my Timeline, find and select my scheduled List and then view all related Events/Tasks within their chronologically due order. Lists/Events/Actions should all maintain scheduling privileges.
The widgets and app icons matching your preferred Timepage Theme is ELITE. At first glance the widgets are awesome but choice paralysis hit and made it so hard to decide. I think the different shape/size widget is the only decision I should essentially be making. However, the selected widget should then pan through all features associated with your downloaded Moleskine apps. It should allow for you to view everything from Travel & Weather to Tasks, to a List-based Timeline or any handy Moleskine feature (in your preferred order of course). When I tell you, the gratification of swiping your task complete from within your Moleskine Widget would transcend everything...I mean everythinggg.
The Line-graph Time adjuster in your Actions—Task-Repeat is so appeasing but the (+/-) adjuster should be replaced with the Time-Dial Setter in Timepage. Users should be given the option to manually input time specifications too. The Repeat option should be located in the same region with the other scheduler settings.
Also, none of my scheduled Tasks appeared where I intended I got so confused by the settings. I think maybe a calendar similar to that of Heatmap should be provided instead. With a monthly view similar to that of Heatmap, the user should be provided clearer options that would reflect on the monthly view when selected. The Line-graph Time Dial Controler can be placed below it. That way it allows users literal and visual confirmation before scheduling.
I’d love to create Tasks related to specific Events (“I’m responsible for dessert on Thanksgiving Dinner”)
(Bonus-When a Task is created under a prioritized List it’s priority should translate/reflect on your Timeline. Please don’t use the “! !! !!! !!!!” system)
I got confused at one point and started deleting instead of completing my Tasks. So that REALLY sucked.
A trash bin that stores trash for at least thirty days is usually standard, I was honestly surprised. I immediately googled the retrieval process of deleted tasks and realized how lightweight my stones-for-brains were.
Logbook and Trash sections should be organized according to Lists/Events/Actions and date. (Reaching the 30-Day Expiration Users should again be prompted to retrieve/delete permanently for life permanently)
Genuinely love Moleskine, it’d be awesome to have any of these features incorporated. If anything I offered helps, I accept payments via Applepay or free subscriptions to Moleskine Journey. 😊
