Request: an MCP server for Actions, so AI assistants can read and create Action Cards directly.
MCP (Model Context Protocol) is the standard AI assistants use to connect to outside apps. Claude, ChatGPT, and others all support it. When an app ships a server, you can say "add this to my list" in an assistant and it lands in the right place.
Todoist and TickTick both have servers today. Actions does not. The practical result is that people who work through AI tools end up keeping a second task list somewhere else just so their assistant can write to it, which quietly pulls them out of Actions.
A useful first version would cover:
  • Read Action Cards, lists, and Schedule
  • Create Action Cards with title, due date, reminder, list, and notes
  • Complete an Action Card
  • Read Logbook
Even read-only would be a meaningful start.
Actions is the best-designed todo app I have used, and this is plumbing rather than a redesign. It would be a shame to lose people over an integration gap rather than the product itself. Happy to test early!
