NPL for "today" doesn't work

Is it supposed to? If I type “finish chapter today” it doesn’t schedule it for “today”, it lists it as unscheduled and then I have to tap through several screens in order to schedule it for today. Plus “today” appears in the task title, which I didn’t want.

When creating a new action it would be great if the word TODAY could populate the day's date.

I've noticed the same issue and it sticks out as a glaring omission to me. I can't believe that doesn't work.
