I’m use a first generation pencil on an 9.7-inch iPad Pro.
My test drawing is a compass rose. I finally concluded that snapping lines to grid points was the most efficient way to get a sketch that I could use for a marquetry template.
Next I decided to look at the isometric grid. It appears to be at 27 deg. That will make the angle tool tough to use for isometric sketches.
Angle tool snaps at 5-deg increments from a reference angle. I think I’d prefer also to have the option to snap the “angle from the reference line” to grid points. This would have made filling the compass rose pattern easier. It would also make it compatible with an arbitrary dimetric projection.
