Light pencil shading + Apple Pencil improvements

It’s difficult to do consistent, light pencil shading when tilting the angle of the Apple Pencil. In other apps (Linea, Tayasui Sketches Pro) I can get a consistent light shade by applying a minimal amount of pressure at a very shallow angle — I don’t even have to think about it.
In Flow, however, I have to apply more pressure or the app doesn’t register the Apple Pencil’s input. When the app finally
does
register its input, the shading appears quite suddenly and it’s usually darker than I had intended. The end result is pencil sketches that look smudged, blotchy, and inconsistent. Would love for pencil shading to work more naturally with the Apple Pencil — it seems like Moleskine should be the one company that gets this right. Thanks!

Hey there - we've added some awesome new tool customisation in Flow 4 for shading with Apple Pencil, available now:
https://apps.apple.com/app/apple-store/id1271361459?pt=542023&ct=canny
In Tool Setup, you can now fine-tune how each tool type responds to Apple Pencil. Adjust how stroke size and opacity respond to pressure, speed, and tilt. Each parameter has its own response curve, letting you control whether tools feel soft, direct, strong, or smoothed. The scratch pad optionally auto-clears after each test stroke, and a mini color palette appears on long press to test customisations in different colors.
