Palm Rejection

i would be happy with the ability to "lock" the page in place; this would solve the palm issues for me. no need to optimize the palm rejection code...

Agreed, this is quite disruptive.

Thanks for the feedback! Are you finding that your palm is drawing, panning, or interacting with the interface - e.g. changing pens/colours? Any more information about when this happens would be really useful so we can improve it.

Alex Louden: This occurs for me too. When I lay my hand down to write, the app draws a dot where my palm is causing my Apple Pencil to not write.

Alex Louden: For me, I set the gesture for 'One finger' to be panning the document. And quite often when I start writing with Apple Pencil, my palm touches the screen first, registering as a document pan, and thus consistently moves the document away from where I want to write.
My workaround for now is to set 'Two finger' to be document panning, and set 'One finger' to do nothing because of the lack of palm rejection. It essentially makes the 'One finger' gesture not that useful..

Alex Louden: While trying to write, my palm is brushing over the interface (changing the pen for the eraser). It happens every couple of minutes while writing near the top of the page where the bottom right of my palm can brush over it.
One possible solution might be to analyze/scan the posture of one’s hand at the beginning of the app launching. Similarly to how an iPhone would scan your fingerprint in different positions, this would scan the placement of your hand on the screen as you write.
Or, there could be a “lock” feature on the pens. That way a palm can’t brush over an item and accidentally select it.

Ashley H.G: Accidental selections of pens happens to me as well. I think the docks should autohide when drawing/writing.
