Dots are not suitable to comunicate how busy a day is, or if events are overlapping. There is definitely space to introduce design elements that actually communicate better the sequence of daily events in the timeline.

It would be useful when on a specific day to have a view of the day in hourly segments to make it easier to spot gaps in days and possibly schedule activities in these spaces.

Would be great if the Timeline app had another view - Daily page with hours so that I could drag and drop a given Action and have it organised by hours. I like planning days more accurately than just having a todo vague list.

You have done a fantastic job of including the optional "Hours Line" in the DAY VIEW on the MAC App showing the events against the hourly clock line. This is really useful. Any chance you can add an hourly clock line to your iPhone App ?

I would like to be able to quickly see how long my event is based on the size of the event it something similar, in addition to knowing better where I am in the day when I glance at the interface. Would also be nice to have gaps between events that aren’t right next to each other so I can see where I have time in my day.

On Day view, show overlapping events and free time.

I would love a simple illustration of overlapping events (especially when double-booked). I’d also love to easily see when I have free time. Even something as simple as smaller gap (or no gap) between overlapping events, and larger gaps between events that have more than an hour of free time between them.

Time Blocking

I love both Timepage and Actions, but I am really missing a visual representation of my time as time blocks proportional to amount of time scheduled. This would help identify overlap and visually see where we have open space in our schedules. It would be great if we could take tasks from actions and then assign them as time blocks on our calendar. If we could assign events to categories, ideally that correspond with those in Actions it would be a great way to sort or tally time on a project.
