Make sending out an invite when adding people to an event optional

I like adding people to events so their contact details are handy but don’t need to send them an invite. I’ll never use this feature as it is.

I would like to make sending invites to my contacts when I assign them to an event optional. It is a great feature to have so I can have their contact information ready to go, but sometimes invites aren’t necessary with every event.

I agree. Would be fine being able to send an email or phone a contact and making this be an event or an action like in 24me

This is really poor design and poor security. The automailer is irresponsible design!

I would like to add a contact and then be able to use timepage to click to call them later on, not just invite the taxman to a hangout...

Yes I would like to use it as well but the invite tends to make people think there’s something they have to do in addition to being part of the event

I completely agree. It would be great to have all participants contact info handy on the event page, but I don’t want each person to receive an invitation.

I agree that sending invites should be optional. Sometimes I want to keep a list to remind me of who is attending without sending invites.
