It would really be nice to be able to add notes to a particular day that are visable on the timeline page and aren’t connected to an event, but just a note on its own. Like others have said, it’s easy to miss that you had notes on “whatever” day because it’s hidden on a certain event. Most of the time, I don’t really want a note pinned to a particular event or specific time during the day, anyways. Otherwise, I really like the app!

It would help be productive in the app to have notes added to the day. I like to record my daily activities

Note that there are potential downsides to writing and storing notes independent of action items for a particular day; namely, the ability to cross them off when no longer relevant. One would have to either store them forever, or jump around the notes to edit them.
In addition, individual notes that comprise the daily note would often be independent. Thus, it might make more sense to write each note as an action item.
Can someone provide a strong rebuttal to my argument?

Great idea. Even better if they could also integrate other note apps (such as GoodNotes and iOS stock notes and reminders apps).

It would be nice if it were possible to add a note and a flow note (even in the preview-only version).

Yes. This would be a great feature. You could prepare you days in advance and write down some particular information that will help you without the information being an event, a reminder or an action,
