Widgets - Manually set colours separate to main theme.

Edit: this is the wrong thread, but it goes hand in hand with what I talk about. The widget doesn’t change to the shortcut-changed theme unless I restart the app.
Does anyone still see this if it’s “completed”? Because I highly doubt that it is.
Changing the theme via shortcuts works half the time at most. My app almost never has the theme it should have, even though I just switch between two: one for night and one for daytime.
Why isn’t this a feature in the app like it is with other apps that have multiple themes?
I gave up honestly; stopped caring that Timepage is dark in the day and light in the night. This is frustrating. Especially since it just works with almost all other apps.

Thanks for the feedback! If you check the configuration for the different widgets now, you should see an option to choose your favourite theme colour for that widget, or to just use the current Timepage theme.

I think these sort of changes are what causes the slowing down of the app that many are experiencing. Forget the cosmetics and focus on the operability and basic functions of this excellent app.

I would also like to add that it would be nice to have a dark mode functionality with the widgets. At night my Timepage widget sticks out like a sore thumb among other dynamic widgets.

Justus Arndt: yes dark mode!!! My eyes are too sensitive to use in light mode

Thanks Fergus.
Do you mean that you'd like to be able to set different themes in the widgets and the main app?

Simon Burbidge: yes! i like the main app theme to be lighter but want to blend in the widget with the background in the home screen (would set the widget color to be darker so i could use a darker color home screen background)

Simon Burbidge: Yes.

Simon Burbidge: yess! cause imagine maybe the colour i think its more confortable to use the app in isnt what i want in the widget, maybe i want it to be vibrant while in the app i like a more toned down version

Simon Burbidge: the same way we can change the icon independently of the theme color
